We don't go on vacation very often...and traveling is something I need in my life! But, when you run your own business with no employees, long vacations just aren't a part of the plan. It's what I signed up for, and although it gets me down at times, we do our best to take short trips to fill our cups. Living where we live, we can drive in any direction a few hours and end up somewhere amazing! Last weekend we did just this...we headed a little west and a little south and ended up in one of our favorite Colorado Countys...Summit County. Andy (the hubby) and I actually met in Summit County...geez 15 years ago, wow! Anyway, we were both living the ski bum dream when our paths crossed, and as they say, the rest is history. I always feel so happy when visiting this area...the scenery, the people, the air, everything about this area puts a smile on my face. So we enjoyed a few days hiking, hanging out with family, playing in rivers, lingering in local coffee joints, and lots of hours soaking in the mountain sunshine. Playing in the mountains...it does the soul good!

Wow. I had heard that St. Mary's Glacier isn't much of a glacier any more. I grew up there, but haven't been back in years.
