OSC: Green Laundry

Since we are focusing on green cleaning this month I wanted to touch on laundry.  It can be confusing and frustrating trying to figure out how to do our laundry the natural way.  There are so many detergents on the market, how do we decide what to use?  I created a video about a year ago on my green laundry routine (see below) and here are a few other tips you can do as well...

1.  Wash on Cold
2.  Wear items more than once before putting them in the laundry
3.  Use less detergent
4.  Hang your clothes to dry
5.  Make your own detergent using natural ingredients
6.  Stop using fabric softeners
7.  Only run full loads

  1. We wear our jeans 2 or 3 times before washing and haven't used fabric softener in years (& don't miss it!)

  2. Maintaining a healthy environment is indeed very important. These laundry practices that you shared promoting such are really effective and helpful. Hopefully others can be inspired to do the same. Thanks for sharing.
