It Doesn't Get Any Better

This weekend we met some friends at a park for a cook out. We usually trade off going to each other's houses for dinner, so the change of scenery felt nice.
As we were eating local bratwursts, cole slaw, and fruit salad, we all sort of looked at each other and had the thought "It doesn't get any better than this". The river flowing behind us, the breathtaking mountain view, our new puppy sleeping at our feet, the sunshine covered blanket we used as a table cloth...it really was a moment!

We are thoroughly enjoying all this season has to offer and are taking in the beauty with each moment. Trips to the pool, slip in slide in the backyard, coffee on the porch with neighbors, camping trips, barbeque's, farmer's markets, the first harvest from our backyard garden....pure bliss!
How are you enjoying this end of Spring season?

  2. We got to the beach last week. Ahhhh....

I often think I would go stark raving mad if I lived too far from an ocean, but, hmm. That river looks nice, too. :)

  4. Sarah Jane...we love brats also, but only in the summer. I will only eat them fresh off the grill in the summer months! The yard is also where we are spending a lot of time!!

  5. I think I know what park you are talking about! We had a fabulous time on our Loveland adventure, and it all started off by meeting you and your adorable girls. I only wish we had more time to enjoy a cookout together. Next time around. Thanks again, for meeting up with us and for the fun suggestion. :)

  6. So sweet! We've been enjoying evening cookouts in the woods with friends, feeling the same way you are (until we get home and have to unload oodles of stuff and very tired children) :)
