Exploring Something New: A Secret Fort

This week's explorations led us to a favorite park. The park part of the adventure was not new, however we did break out of our normal routine and ventured out to explore new areas at the park.
The kids were drawn to a wooded area several feet behind the playground. They spent some time here climbing around, playing with sticks, and playing pretend in their secret fort.

Even though we were at one of our favorite parks, it was amazing to open our eyes to new adventures to be had.

Have you been exploring something new?

  3. Isn't it amazing how much there is that we think we see, but in reality there is always something new.

  7. With the photos taken at that level it gives you an idea of how wild and large the world can be from the children's eyes. It looks like a jungle full of adventures, not the local park! xo m.

  8. We often head way up into the mountains, deep into the forest, but lately we have been getting to know a simple place close to home. Funny thing is, it's the forest down the road from your old house...
Yes, that was Lemon on Chessa's birthday, it's where she picked to go, we go on lots of picnics there, not as much as we go out to Vallecito though.
