Friday morning Andy and I packed up the car, the kids, and our new puppy for a 3 night camping trip at the Great Sand Dunes. We set up camp Friday afternoon and enjoyed a fun evening around the camp fire!
Saturday morning we headed over to the dunes for a couple of hours of fun. Sand, flowing water, mountains in the background...it doesn't get any better than this! But it does....Saturday afternoon our very good friends met us at the camp site to spend the rest of the weekend with us. The 4 kids, 4 adults, and 2 dogs had a blast the rest of the weekend with our time divided between playing at the sand dunes and hanging out at camp.

The Great Sand Dunes is truly a magical place and somewhere everyone should visit in their life time. It has become one of my favorite yearly traditions and we hope to visit many more years to come. Please enjoy a few of our photos from the trip!

I am so insanely jealous. I am a displaced mountain momma. The Army moved us out of Colorado Springs this time last year and plunked us down in Georgia and I miss it. The sand dunes were a favorite spot of mine.
