One Small Change Update on Hanging My Laundry

Today I did a post over at One Small Change with an update on my April Change. I started hanging my laundry to dry in April and have had some great results! To read about how my change is going and to watch a hilarious bit on The Colbert Report about hanging your laundry to dry, pop on over to One Small Change!

  1. That video is too funny! I got my new washline for Mother's Day, so I'll be joining you in abandoning the dryer. I think it will be my One Small Change for May along with actually planting out our garden beds now that it is warm enough!

  2. Hi Suzy. I have been doing this for a year now. I can do it year round where I live. If the clothes get crunchy I spray with a tad of water and fluff in the dryer for a few mins. I actually prefer my towels thin and a little rough. Come see what our son has done musically, I think you will like.

  3. i love love love this one small change idea. you are inspiring me so much with this hanging laundry change but i am still struggling with it so much. i just can't bring myself to hang my laundery outside, it feels like i'm standing naked in my driveway or something.

i have however, been drying our smaller laundry like diapers in the windows. i have not so elaborate hanger concoctions on which i hang diapers, bibs, socks, etc. i love the way they smell. oh...i am aiming to dry my laundry outside at least once this summer. what a struggle it is for me....

  4. Mellow Mama...I understand exactly how you feel! We have split rail fences and so many people see my laundry...I was so shy at first, but after a few times it felt so liberating and now I just love it! I still feel a bit shy some times when the other dads are out working in the yard, but I do it anyway...go for it Mama, do it once, and you will be hooked!! And let me know how it goes!!
