With a bit of snow on the ground yesterday morning and some cold temps, we opted to spend most of our day inside. We enjoyed sitting by the fire, dreaming of warmer days, visiting with some old friends, and of course a little craft.
I was in major need of doing some organizing around the kitchen and when going through my coupon drawer came up with an idea for creating a special place for my coupons. While creating this coupon holder I realized this would also make the perfect recipe card holder. This could also be used by your kids to keep special things in like stickers, bookmarks, jewelry, or anything else they can think of.
What I used:
Sheet of felt cut 8.5"x6"
Scissors
Hole puncher
yarn
How I did it:

How I did it:

1. Fold one of the 6" sides of the felt half way up
2. hole punch or cut 3 or 4 holes along the sides where the fabric is doubled up

3. weave string or yarn through the holes to keep it secure and tie
4. make 2 more holes at the top corners and place string or yarn through these holes to from a loop at the top for hanging.
5. decorate with stickers, beads, buttons, yarn, or whatever you want
6. hang on your refrigerator or cork board and fill.

Very clever... I have a coupon organizer for grocery coupons but this would be perfect for those "other" coupons like restaurant, department store, etc. And I can hang it in my car so they are right there for those unexpected stops. Thanks for sharing!
