When we moved into our current home almost 5 years ago our backyard was full of grass. It is a pretty large yard so we quickly decided we wanted to eliminate some grass with a low maintenance xeriscape garden. We started planting that first year, and have added to it each year with a result we have been very happy with.
Along with adding plants each year, we have also been collecting garden decor. Our first addition was a gnome...because doesn't every garden need a little gnome looking after it! From there we have added a few other items, including rocks, that we feel gives the garden a more complete look.
I secretly believe that having these items in our garden helps it to grow and flourish. It has been so fun watching our garden grow over these past few years and will be fun to continue to watch it grow!

I love them. Unfortunately in my yard it is a lot of tonka truck and john deere tractors. With little boys they are bound to be underfoot!
