This week as they were carrying around their baskets, we started talking about making their baskets pretty by adding some spring colors. We headed home and got to work on their Spring Nature Baskets.
What we used (this was all stuff we had around the house...no need to buy anything):
plain baskets
wool
yarn
stickers
acorns
glue gun
We gathered all our materials and the kids picked what they wanted on their baskets and where they wanted it. They stuck the stickers on and I used the hot glue gun to stick everything else on. Then we wrapped yarn around the handle and called it done.
The kids were so excited to have their new pretty baskets to take with them on hikes! Having girls and their love of making things pretty can be a lot of fun!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to bring a basket (and a pretty one at that!). Usually I end up with pockets full of leaves, pinecones, and dandelion heads.
